twinnie eighteen month teepee photo shoot

my girls are 18 months old today!

for the first year of their lives, i planned out monthly photo shoots.
looking back, i didn't post every month on here, but i posted most of them.
my goal was the first year, but i wanted to continue it as long as possible.
unfortunately there is a four month gap from this latest one and the one before it.
i blame morning sickness and lack of motivation.
so you know where you go when you want some motivation?

i saw this picture and knew that i just HAD to recreate it for my little indians.

so this is what i came up with...

{and stella is feeding olivia gummy worms. unfortunately that's all i had in my purse and it did the trick of keeping them still and in the tent for a few quick pictures!}

my parents are in town visiting and were nice enough to help me out on this shoot.
i was able to set up the location while they brought the girls to me.
i'm so glad i got some really great pictures of them with their twinnie grand-daughters.

happy eighteen months, stella and olivia!

: : : like what you see? i'd love to shoot a photo session with you! check out my photography page here and my pricing here - i'm very affordable! : : :

{for those interested: i made the teepee with four, 8' tall, 1.5" PVC pipe and three $5 walmart twin sheets that i sewed together. the vintage quilt the girls are sitting on was made by my great-grandmother and grandmother when she was a little girl. it's worth is immeasurable to me because of my love of quilts and it's the only thing i own of my grandmother's. i made the girls' headbands out of felt and glitter elastic. they are wearing saltwater sandals and diaper covers from dresses they wore to their first birthday party. the balloons are from sweet shop lulu. all other decorations [the scalloped bunting banner, the triangle bunting banner, the ruffled garland and the fringe garlands] were all made by me, for other occasions, mostly their birthday party and my sister's baby shower. i will make fabric decorations for the rest of my life if their still considered appealing because they are SO versatile.}
