TeNt CiTy

So I know that "Tent City" is a place for homeless people...but that's what we called our weekend. We made a fort in our living room and watched movies, ate junk food, and just relaxed for two days. It is our five year wedding anniversary this week and we wanted to do something to celebrate it. Duke (Earl) asked me if I wanted to go out of town for the weekend, but I said that we should save the money for our trip to Europe this winter for Duke's graduation. So I came up with the idea of making a fort!
Earl says that forts don't have twinkle lights, but I disagree...
Creating the food...
Here is my mini anniversary wedding cake!
This was my favorite thing that I ate all weekend....
...And even more junk food....Mmmmm...We made tri-tip avocado salsa that was SO GOOD!
And even little Nadia wanted to participate.

We had a lot of fun! We're such children at heart with our fort, video games, DVD's, and CapriSun.

  1. How fun!!! Fort-living for a few days is the way to go. :) I'm glad Nadia got to participate too, cuz she hates being left out, huh. Happy, Happy 5 years to you guys. All the best with #6!
