I love Monterey. So does he...
Don't worry, that's not graffiti on my face, it's face paint!!! (See other pics below)
My father was on a 15-day leave from Afghanistan and came home to Clovis to visit the family. My birthday fell on Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend, so the family made a long weekend of it. My sister Amy, her boyfriend Jason, and my niece Dupree came over from Salt Lake and we all went up to Monterey. My sister Laura and her husband DJ came too. My parents were there, and Earl and I, so it was a big party over on the coast! We saw a face painting booth and my Dad said that I should get my face painted. I said I would if he did...so that's why he has a spider's web on his face and a butterfly on mine. When Dupree saw that we got our faces painted, she wanted to get on too! Duh! So she was our little puppy dog.
My Birthday dinner at Crabby Jim's. SO GOOD!

We had dinner at Chart House and this was my Auso Buco. It was so pretty I had to take a picture. I was sure to turn the flash of since it was such a fancy little place. What's really funny is that when the waiter asked me what I wanted to drink when we were waiting for a table. I said, "Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri." (Daddy's paying. Love you DAD!) Well, the guys (Earl, Jason, DJ, and Dad) were at the bar watching "the" game. I don't remember which one it was, but it was important- of course. So the waiter took the order to the bartender and the bartender says aloud, "Who orders a Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri???" Earl overhears and says to himself, "I bet my wife did." So our table is ready and we all unite and sit down. Earl spy's my drink and says, "I knew you got the Strawberry Daiquiri," and proceeds to tell me what the bartender said. Awwww, he knows me!! Precious.
